Under the hood sits a built Pontiac 455ci V8 engine (Engine # 485428, Block Casting Date: E152, 5/15/1972) packed with tons of high performance upgrades. You are sure to turn heads whenever you display the engine bay, thanks to the polished aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold, chrome aluminum valve covers, and the serpentine setup with billet aluminum pulleys. Key engine builds and specs include:
Bored .030 over and built with forged pistons, Eagle connecting rods, a Comp Cams Thumper camshaft, and Kaufman Racing aluminum cylinder heads.
10.5:1 compression ratio and 1.65 ratio roller rockers.
Edelbrock 750 CFM 4-barrel carburetor.
Recently upgraded Champion aluminum radiator with dual electronic cooling fans and temp sensors.
Transmission, Suspension, and Exhaust
Engine power is delivered through a 700R4 OD transmission installed in February 2022. The rear end is a GM 10 Bolt (Casting Date: C120, March 12, 1970) equipped with 3.73 gears and a limited slip axle. Handling is greatly improved by upper and lower tubular A Arms front suspension, also installed in February 2022 after the undercarriage pictures were taken. The unmistakable deep hot rod pitch comes out perfectly tuned through a 3″ stainless steel “X” pipe crossover out to dual Pypes Street Pro mufflers. Comfort and drivability are also ensured by power steering and power front disc brakes.
