This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 5-window pickup is a fully custom build, finished in “Cherry Bomb” metallic paint with small flake by Tri City Paint in San Diego, accented by cream and red pinstriping. The truck was restored and painted between 2005 and 2007, with less than 8,000 miles driven since completion. It has been stored indoors in Southern California and remains in excellent overall condition.
Power comes from a 350 SBC V8 paired with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. It features a 4-barrel carburetor, stock exhaust manifolds, and dual glasspack mufflers that deliver a classic hot rod sound. Cooling is handled by a Champion aluminum radiator. Additional mechanical upgrades include power steering, power disc brakes, a chrome brake booster with proportioning valve, and a full Painless wiring kit. The truck is also equipped with R134 air conditioning.
The chassis incorporates a 1974 Chevy Nova front clip for improved handling and drivability. It rides on 15-inch American Racing 5-spoke wheels wrapped in 3-inch whitewall tires, giving it a distinctive vintage stance.
The exterior is in show-quality condition, with chrome, moldings, grille, and emblems all presenting extremely well. Body lines are straight, and the paint maintains a high-quality finish. Additional custom touches include a wood bed, custom fuel filler with chrome door, and integrated custom tail lights within the bed rails.
The interior is fully custom, featuring a fabricated leather bench seat with two integrated storage drawers underneath. It also includes a custom center console, leather headliner, leather sun visors, a tilt steering column, and a 3-spoke wood sport steering wheel. Instrumentation is upgraded with Classic Instruments gauges, and entertainment is provided by a RetroSound AM/FM radio. A Lokar shifter completes the interior setup.
This build was thoughtfully designed and professionally executed, resulting in a truck that is both visually striking and easy to drive. It starts, runs, and drives reliably with no known mechanical issues. With its strong presence, excellent stance, and eye-catching finish, it consistently draws attention at shows and on the road.
This is a rare 5-window pickup, and examples like this are not often seen in this condition. The sale includes a file of historical documentation and receipts dating back to 1998.
